Daud Shah Saba, M.Sc., Ph.D., was born in Herat, Afghanistan in 1964. He obtained his MS in Economic Geology from the Kabul Polytechnic Institute in 1986. He taught in the same institute for six years, and in 1996 obtained his Ph.D.
in Earth Science from the University of Mumbai, India (Geology Department, St. Xavier's College, Mumbai-1, India).
